Tutu queen!

Again, I show my obsessiveness with pinterest.... I found an easy way to make a tutu and voila! Baby Olivia had two new Christmas presents:) it is basically a baby headband and tulle that I measured and tied into the holes of the headband. Super easy and she looked adorable in it! Here she is in the pink tutu!

Christmas card wreaths

After seeing the idea in a magazine, katelyn and I decided to make these oh so easy projects. I used a 10 inch wreath because that is all that hobby lobby had but katelyn used 12. Either way do what works for you! All I did was wrap the cheapest wedding ribbon I could find (wedding ribbon has more on the roll and it's less expensive), pulled the ribbon up and made a bow. Here are some pictures!

iPhone addiction

My parents bought my new iPhone upgrade for my Christmas present and I can post from my phone! Maybe im like way behind because I didn't know this was an option but I am SO excited! Now I can post little things that I wouldn't normally get to! My time is so limited with me getting my masters so this makes my day! This weekend I had copper. I decorated the trees and put up my christmas things! Here are some pictures!

Happiness :)

Brandie inspires me often, and since she and Ashley posted what makes them happy, I decided to do the same! Although I am NOT loving many things right now (Grad School). I am making my list of things I am loving :)

1. My new floors! They are almost completed, and the disaster of a house that I am living in can go back to normal, and semi- disasterish :) A HUGE thanks to my sweet dad for installing the floors. They look amazing!- Pictures to come!

2. Diet Coke...It is a terrible addiction, and no matter how many times I try to stop, I go back, because, I LOVE IT!!!

3. My birthday items I bought myself with my birthday money. A new purse, a cool leaf bowl for my coffee table, and a new rug that was only 29 dollars! I think that is why I love it so much!

4. My Erin Condren Teacher Planner. The next time I get one, I also want the life planner. I LOVE TO PLAN :) Is she expensive, yes. Is it worth it, YES! A million times over. It is the best tool for my classroom and keeping me organized.

5. My Sweet Manolo and Momma's boy Wicked. They are so excited to see me in the afternoon, and I love taking manolo out for walks on these nice afternoons! Soon it will be cold, and he won't want to go outside. He is just like me! We don't like cold weather. Also, they have coordinating, Alabama and houndstooth collars. They look adorable, and Yes, when I have kids, the kids will also have coordinating outfits. I can't help it.

6.The new T.V. show revenge. It is simply amazing. I didn't think I would like it, but now it is my favorite.

7. My favorite football team is WINNING :) Yes I love football and Yes I love to win! ROLL TIDE

8. PINTEREST!!!! Hello, if you are not on there, you do not know how amazing it is. I LOVE it!

9. My new recycling bin. It was only 20 dollars for the whole year and they pick it up every Wednesday. I have been waiting for this for SO LONG!

10. All of the new wonderful teaching blogs that I have found, or the ladies that have found me. I am loving the resources and the input from people that aren't in my school.

Now it's your turn, what makes YOU happy?

What I'm obsessed with...

If you know me, you know that it takes me about 2 minutes to put makeup on my face. But if you know me, you also know that it takes at least ten minutes to just put on mascara. I. Kid. You. Not..... I am obsessed with MASCARA!!! I could be in flip flops walking Manolo in the ugly shorts and a tshirt but my mascara will be fully done. My eyelashes are my thing :) It's weird I know, but I LOVE mascara! I found it funny, and kind of hysterical that Sephora sent me just a pamphlet on mascara. Who even knew they made those?!?!

These are all the mascaras I've bought in like the last month.

I am definitely the expert on Mascara :)

Baby Olivia

A few weeks ago, one of my best friends and college roomate had her first baby. Luckily she is currently living in Charleston, so Amy and I hopped into the car and headed that way. Olivia was ver considerate to come during the weekend, so that I could still see her while she was 24 hours old. I have tried to see all of my friends babies on their "birthday". To me, it is so special to be able to tell that child later on that, "I was there the day you were born!"  Not only that, but I am very big on my friends knowing  that I am there for them! While I was there, I took a mere 115 pictures and i was only there for TWO hours! Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Fourth of July!

This fourth of July, me parents were coming in from Vacation, so Katelyn and I decided to just have a little dinner at her house. We made some food, and Chris cooked out and we had the usual Finnegan/Warren dinner. We had a really good time and celebrated the fourth with the families.

I, of course, loved having the babies there. (Even though Cam isnt much of a baby anymore) They had already had a really long day, but Kyle and Brandie still brought them on their way down from Atlanta. (Which was SO nice :)) Even though it had been a long day, the kids were SO great and in a wonderful mood. They have the sweetest little ones! I spent a lot of time loving on Ezra! (Baby laughs are the best sounds ever)
I love this little man :)

Then I laughed hysterically at Cambria taking her own picture. She would cheese it up, take the picture, look at it, and then laugh at herself :)

I could not stop taking pictures of her! She was SO funny :)

The beginning of my masters..

Unfortunatley I have had NO time to blog..and this is the reason....
I seriously have been working like around to clock on these masters classes...there have been a few fun times in June, and hopefully when I finish school in three days (YAY) I will have time to update the blog on those fun times :) And yes, that is Wicked in the middle of my papers. He likes to be with mommy during her school work, and LOVES having me home :)

Meatless Monday

Since being a vegetarian for lent, I have eaten WAY less meat. I now can't look at a burger the same way...and they taste pretty nasty to me now. I have decided to have Meatless Mondays. I like the idea of making myself try new things and I can use them to blog :)

Tonight I made a corn, and black bean filled tortilla. I use whole wheat tortillas, black beans, corn, salsa, and a little cheddar cheese.

I ate one tortilla and was so full! It was really filling, SO easy, and yummy!

Until the next Meatless Monday...Enjoy!

From old to new

I do not like to waste. Food, scrapbook scraps, fabric, and basically anything in general. I honestly think it comes from my Italian roots, where if there is food on your plate, you eat it.... As for the random crap that I collect, I try to make sure there is a use for it before I save it. (otherwise it gets recycled) The latest "junk" I've been keeping are the little containers that Manolo's food comes in. At first, I was going to recycle them, but then i had enough for my class to use in a project :) so therefore it wasn't a waste...i digress...

At some point my mother was getting rid of these two frames. UGLY...there was a reason she was getting rid of them. They were outdated paintings that we had YEARS ago. I think mom gave them to us to sell at some garage sale a long time ago. They never sold (because they were ugly) so I kept them in my garage where pretty much everything goes... (hopefully that will be a future blog post-cleaning the garage)

At some point when I was in the garage looking for Christmas stuff, I came across the frames and decided that I was sure I could do something with them. My original intent was to put some of Katelyn's wedding pictures in them, but after looking through the pictures, I couldnt decide and really didn't want to choose just two to put in the frames.

Without knowing what I was going to put in them, I went ahead and decided to paint them. My kitchen and living room colors are black, white, and red. All frames are black or silver. I am not much of a brown fan, so black it was. I sanded some of the rough edges, painted them black, and cleaned them up. I went to the Hobby Lobby and got 2 mats for the frames on sale of course. I chose a basic white and started to search for my pictures for the frames.

I have pictures of my friends, family, and Godson all over my house so I settled on a baby picture of Manolo and Wicked. They are both adorable pictures that I took so it made the project make sense. Overall, the project cost me about 6 bucks because I had the paint from a previous project. If you can ever get cheap picture frames at a garage sale, or someone you know is getting rid of them, I highly reccomend you take them! You can make them into something beautiful :)
