Girl's trip treats

A few weekends ago we had a little girl's getaway. i decided to make some treats for the car ride and stay for the girls. These are some of the things that I included. We were going to the beach, so I included chap stick and hair ties of course :)

I found these cute bags at Walmart for pretty cheap. I also got the cups there! I used vinyl on the cricuit to make the names and dots.

Finished Product!

I made the name tags on the computer. The clip art is from Ashley Hughes!

Dresser make over!

Hello All! Long time, no blog over here. That's because I've been keeping up with my school blog! You should check it out too :)

Last year, I bought this little gem at an auction for 30 bucks, I think. (It's been a while...) Well I just knew it had potential to be something fabulous, and I wanted a teal/turquoise t.v. stand.  I knew that this piece could hold a lot as well.

First, I used the Zinsser Cover Stain Primer paint to cover the wood. I had to use two coats, three in some places. No sanding needed!

So took the dresser outside and took out all the drawers, and started priming away.

It took me a million years, and a thousand turquoise colors, to get a final decision. I went with  Shaded Lake and got it from Lowes.

I did about 2-3 coats, and it turned out like this :)

Then I went to Hobby Lobby to look for hardware to update the look. They had a 50% off sale, so of course I took it as a sign from God to buy the hardware! haha! Here are some close up shots!

So of course, I looked to pinterest for some inspiration pieces, and found a few things but nothing jumped out a me, except this.

I found this blog post, and thought the pop of color on the drawers were adorable, so I went to the same website that she did, and bought this wallpaper. I went for a more bold look, because I love bold looks! The website is You can create your own wallpaper or buy one that someone has made. I found some gorgeous things, but ended up with this one. I measured my drawers and ended up buying the whole role, versus the samples. It was just more cost savy that way. Yes, it was expensive, but it was fast and I found something that I love, so to me it was worth it!

I love how it turned out! It has my favorite color, bling, and wallpaper.

Christmas 2013

I love Christmas! I only wish I has a bigger house so I could put out allllll my decorations. Until then, I do what I can.
I have three bigger trees and one small one. My favorite has to be my NYC themed tree. It's my favorite place to go and every ornament is special to me!

Gift card bouquet

I made this gift card bouquet for a friend. Our school pitched in with money to give her and her family these wonderful cards so they wouldn't have to cook. I based the pinwheels off of the card I found for her at tjmaxx. It was fairly easy and I had fun putting everything together!

Amy's Bridal Shower

Kendall helped me throw this shower, even though she is super far away in Virginia (insert sad face here :(  )
Olivia was a blast, and my mom also helped out with Olivia duty and food. I had a friend and teacher at our Elementary school make the cookie favors. She is super great and I love how they turned out! Kendall also made a CD favors that we used as a game as well. My favorite game was where you write down the name of your dream "famous" husband. There were so many to choose from but this time, mine was Taye Diggs... I mean seriously...Back to the was so fun and lots of lovely ladies came out to support Amy. Here are my favorite pictures by Katelyn of course... Check out her work here.
